Description

If cinnamon churros and tater drums had a baby, this is it! Imagine your favorite taters coated in cinnamon sugar with a homemade dulce de leche dip. And yes, you can do this at the comfort of your own kitchen - it’s really simple!

Ingredients

  • 500g Frozen Tater Tots
  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 can Condensed Milk
  • Corn Oil

Preparation

Dulce De Leche Dip

  1. Take out label of canned condensed milk.
  2. Place can in a pot and fill with water. The can must be submerged.
  3. Put pot over the stove on medium heat and let that cook for 2 & ½ hours.
  4. Check the pot every 20 to 30 minutes to see if the can is still submerged in water. Refill water if needed. It should be submerged all the way.
  5. After 2 and ½ hours, take out the can and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Open the can and have dulce de leche in a dipping bowl to serve. Refrigerate the rest for storage.

Churro Tater Tots

  1. In pot of oil in medium heat, fry tater drums for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Transfer to the bowl/plate/colander with paper towel to drain excess oil. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add in white sugar and cinnamon powder. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer fried tater tots in the bowl of cinnamon sugar and gently toss the bowl to coat each tater tot. Best to do this when tater tots are still warm.
  5. Plate up together the dulce de leched dip.
  6. Best served warm and enjoy!
