Kitchen 143 and Potatoes USA teamed up with Chef Rosebud in expanding the frozen potato potential. Chef Rosebud is a celebrity chef most known for appearing on cooking shows on the GMA News TV (now GTV). Taste her two delectable creations, the Ham and Veggie Pizza with a U.S. Potato-crust, and U.S. Taters and Bacon Kebabs using frozen potato products from Potatoes USA.

Description

Frozen potatoes don’t always have to be turned into fries or chips. In fact, we can turn them into just about anything – a healthy meal for the family even.

Kitchen 143 and Potatoes USA teamed up with Chef Rosebud in expanding the frozen potato potential. Taste her two delectable creations, the Ham and Veggie Pizza with a U.S. Potato-crust, and U.S. Taters and Bacon Kebabs using frozen potato products from Potatoes USA.

Ingredients

Pizza Crust

  • 400 grams U.S. frozen wedges, thawed
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • salt and pepper to taste

For the Toppings

  • 3/4 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Mozzarella
  • 5 pieces Ham, cubed
  • 1 piece green Bell Peppers, sliced thinly
  • 1 piece red Bell Peppers, sliced thinly
  • 100 grams canned Sliced Mushrooms

Preparation

Crust

  1. Remove the U.S. frozen wedges from the freezer and let them thaw for about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F and set aside a pizza pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add U.S. wedges, then use a fork to mash them into smaller pieces. Add cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the wedges mixture onto the pizza pan. Press the pieces together to make the crust.

Toppings

  1. Add marinara sauce on top of the crust and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the sauce. Add the other toppings.
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  3. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve.
