Ingredients
4 pieces of frozen waffle potatoes (or 75 grams)
½ piece chorizo coins, sliced (or ½ cup)
½ piece medium onion, finely chopped (or ¼ cup)
¼ piece medium carrot, diced (or ¼ cup)
½ piece medium red bell pepper, chopped (or ¼ cup)
¼ kilo lean ground pork
¼ cup green peas
1 whole large egg
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, grated
oil for deep frying
Preparation
Prep Time: 15min | Cook Time: 30min
Deep fry frozen potato crisscut at 400 degrees F for 4 to 5 mins or until golden brown.
Fry chorizo in a pan until cooked then set aside.
Sautè onion, bell pepper, and carrots. Add pork and cook for 10 mins.
Add green peas and cook for another 2 mins. Season with salt and pepper.
Finish off with melted butter and beaten egg.
Sprinkle a bit of parmesan before serving.
Notes
Hash browns and potato halves can also be used in place of waffle potatoes.
