Description

Potatoes Nanban with Tartar Sauce

Ingredients

  • 500 grams U.S. Potato Crisscut
  • Vegetable Oil as needed
+

Tartar sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 pieces Hard-Boiled Egg
  • 4 tablespoons Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Pickle Relish
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Togarashi

Nanban Dip

  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin

Garnishes

  • Togarashi
  • Leeks
  • Pink Ginger

Preparation

  1. Mix together all the ingredients of the tartar sauce. Refrigerate.
  2. Mix together ingredients of the nanban sauce. Simmer to melt the sugar and set aside.
  3. Spray the U.S. potato crisscut fries with vegetable oil. Bake or air fry at 232°C (450°F) for 22 minutes.
  4. Garnish tartar sauce with togarashi, leeks and pink ginger.
  5. Serve U.S. potato crosscut fries with nanban dip and tartar sauce.
