Description

Yakiniku Toasted Garlic Steak Fries

Ingredients

  • 500 grams U.S. Potato straight cut
  • Vegetable Oil, as needed
+

Butter Beef Steak

  • 30 grams Butter, for sautéing
  • 200 grams Beef slices
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 5 grams Garlic, minced

Yakiniku Gravy

  • 2 ½ tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic, minced
  • 2 ½ tablespoons Onion, minced
  • ½ cup Apple Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • ½ cup Beef Stock

Butter and Flour Paste

  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Flour

Crispy Garlic

  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil, for sautéing
  • 5 cloves Garlic, sliced

Preparation

  1. Slice beef thinly into small strips and marinate with soy sauce and garlic.
  2. Spray a bit of oil on the U.S. potato straight cut fries in a sheet pan with paper.
  3. Bake or air fry at 232°C (450°F) for 12 minutes.
  4. Mix together all the ingredients of the sauce and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the butter and flour paste last as thickener.
  6. Fry garlic slices until it is light brown.
  7. Cook the beef just for a minute or two.
  8. Once ready to serve, to U.S. potato straight cut fries with yakiniku gravy, beef, garlic slices and sesame seeds.
